Idaho Asia Institute: Tokyo Story

The classic 1953 film from renowned director Yasujiro Ozu, TOKYO STORY, explores the theme of generational conflict, as elderly parents visit their children in bustling Tokyo. The  film is Ozu’s masterpiece whose rewarding complexity has lost none of its power more than half a century on. This free screening is the first in the spring 2023 edition of the University of Idaho Asian Film Series, co-sponsored by the Idaho Asia Institute, the School of Global Studies, and the School of Journalism and Mass Media.
