Join us on Saturday, September 23 for a show at BACKSTAGE at Kenworthy. Doors 7:30 / show 8pm. $10 at door. We’d love to see you and yours for a night at the opera.
The Widow Cameron is the new project and seventh album from songwriter Cameron McGill. He is the author of two books: In the Night Field (Augury Books) and Meridians (Willow Springs Books). He teaches in the MFA program at Western Colorado University and at Washington State University, where he co-directs the Visiting Writers Series. McGill lives and writes and plays the piano in Moscow, Idaho. Find him at thewidowcameron.com.
The music of Dylan Champagne is a continually shape-shifting multi-headed hydra and ranges from avant-garde to accessible; chamber music to prog-punk. He is a founding member of the a cappella sea shanty group Bigger Boat, he plays in the punk rock band Ideomotor, is a long time member of the Immersion Composition Society, has been in numerous bands over the years, and has written for chamber groups, large ensembles, and silent film scores. As a songwriter his work is often intimate, poetic, and narrative, weaving tales rich with quirky details like “unicorns that were really just goats with twisted horns” or “you were perching in an oak tree, hugging knees to prickly heart, singing hieroglyphic melodies to calm the untamed stars.”
