Pumice Pocket: No Soundtrack for Old Men

Thursday, September 15 at 7 PM

Pumice Pocket, a progressive funk and jazz fusion band from Moscow, will be performing a live musical soundtrack to the Coen Brothers’ adaptation of the Cormac McCarthy novel, NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN. The film famously was produced without a studio soundtrack or film composer. Pumice Pocket sees this auditory space as an opportunity to perform a response to this masterwork. This suspenseful, post-western, noir film has become a cult classic since its release in 2007. The integration of a live soundtrack will give fans of the movie a different perspective to view it in while new audience members will be treated to a once-in-lifetime match of live music and academy award winning film.
