2021 Oscar NOMINATED Short Films

For the 16th consecutive year, Shorts HD and Magnolia Pictures present the Oscar-Nominated Short Films, opening on April 2nd. With all three categories offered – Animated, Live Action and Documentary – this is your annual chance to predict the winners (and have the edge in your Oscar pool)! A perennial hit with audiences around the country and the world, don’t miss this year’s selection of shorts. 

The Academy Awards take place Sunday, April 25th.

Ratings guidelines:

Animated Shorts: PG-13. Adult language, gun violence, smoking, and brief nudity.
This year the animated shorts deal with tough issues, including a school shooting. Please note that a few of the films are not suitable for children under 12.

Live Action Shorts: R. Adult themes and language. 

Documentary Shorts: R
Please note that HUNGER WARD is a very intense look at child hunger in Yemen and the program is very much not for young audiences.

Virtual Screenings

The Virtual Cinema program is a way for the Kenworthy to continue engaging you throughout our pandemic-related closures. 

Oscar Nominated Short films tickets are for the rental of the films. Rentals are available to you for 30 days after purchase. Once you begin watching you will have 72 hours to finish. 

Please note that the screening timeframe and ticket prices are determined by ShortsTV+ . The Kenworthy does receive a portion of each ticket sold.
